Fascial Stretch Therapy in Port Credit at MyHealth Care Centre
MyHealth Care Centre offers fascial stretch therapy at 137 Queen St E in Port Credit, Mississauga. It is one of the hands-on techniques we may use in a rehab plan, together with chiropractic care, physiotherapy and exercise.
Fascial stretch therapy is assisted stretching. You lie on a padded table while your practitioner moves your legs, arms, hips and trunk through stretches that are hard to reach on your own. The stretches are slow, timed with your breathing, and kept in a range that feels comfortable.
Serving Port Credit, Lorne Park and the rest of Mississauga.

Where Fascial Stretching Fits in Your Rehab Plan
We think about rehab in phases: settling pain and irritation first, then getting movement and balance back, then building strength. Fascial stretch therapy is used most often in the movement phase, when the goal is to help stiff areas move more freely.
You don't have to pick between stretching and other care. Fascial stretch therapy can sit next to chiropractic care, physiotherapy and a home exercise program in the same plan. We'll talk with you about whether it fits, and how often.
Looking at the Whole Person
We use a biopsychosocial approach. In plain terms, we look at your body, how you feel about moving, and what you need to get back to.
- Your body: pain, stiffness, and how your joints and muscles move. Assisted stretching may help with mobility and how comfortable movement feels.
- Your comfort and confidence: stretches are paced to you, and you can ask us to ease off at any time. Moving in a calm, supported way may help you feel more confident moving on your own.
- Your daily life: work, sport, lifting kids, gardening, or a long walk by the lake. We keep your goals in view.
Who Fascial Stretch Therapy May Not Suit
It is not right for everyone. Please tell us before your visit if any of these apply:
- A recent injury, fracture or surgery
- A joint that dislocates easily, or a condition that makes your joints very loose
- Osteoporosis or another condition that affects bone strength
- A blood clot, or a history of blood clots
- Pregnancy
- Sudden, severe or unexplained pain, numbness or weakness
We assess you first. If stretching is not a good fit right now, we'll talk about other options or refer you on.

Where Can I Get Fascial Stretch Therapy in Port Credit, Mississauga?
At MyHealth Care Centre, 137 Queen St E in Port Credit, Mississauga. Call or text us at 905-271-9333.
Who Provides Fascial Stretch Therapy at MyHealth?
Dr. Mike Skiby, registered chiropractor and registered kinesiologist, and Manny Sidhu, Recovery Specialist.
What Is the Difference Between Fascial Stretching and Stretching on My Own?
With assisted stretching, your practitioner moves and supports your limbs, so you can relax while the stretch is guided. Many people find it easier to reach the hips, shoulders and trunk this way. We often pair it with stretches and exercises you can keep doing at home.
Does Fascial Stretch Therapy Hurt?
It should feel like a stretch, not pain. Stretches are slow and kept within a comfortable range, and you can ask us to ease off at any time.
Can Fascial Stretch Therapy Be Combined with Chiropractic Care or Physiotherapy?
Yes. It can be one part of a plan that also includes chiropractic care, physiotherapy and exercise. We'll assess you and suggest what may suit your goals.
Is Fascial Stretch Therapy Covered by Insurance?
Coverage depends on your plan and on who provides the service. Please check with your insurer, and see our insurance and direct billing page for details.
