Who can perform medical acupuncture?

Medical acupuncture is a qualification above and beyond any training covered by basic TCM.  The background and additional education that practioners carry is firstly being a primary practitioner in addition to the extra training in scientific medical acupuncture.

1) Practioners who have graduated from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school in the United States or Canada, and must maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license to practice.

2)  Subsequent to graduation from medical school, the applicant must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of 300 hours of systematic acupuncture education acceptable to the American Board of Medical Acupuncture.
