OUR GOALS FOR YOU

We stress the importance of the relationship between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system in regaining and sustaining health. Our Doctors of chiropractic use adjustments, joint manipulation and other techniques to normalize spinal and neural function, relieve various disorders and promote your body's natural healing process.

We believe in a holistic ("total person") approach to healing, which typifies the new and changing attitude toward health. We recognize that dynamics exist between lifestyle, environment and health.

Are soreness and stiffness preventing you from enjoying your life?

Have Questions?

How many women have pelvic health dysfunction?

One in three women in Canada, has some form of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction - impacting their lives in many ways. With the help of physiotherapy, patients receive tremendous results and can effectively overcome their condition.

How do you strengthen the pelvic floor?

To strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, a physiotherapist will asses and guide you how to do exercises where you would gradually improve. Do not hold your breath or tighten your stomach, bottom or thigh muscles at the same time. When you get used to doing pelvic floor exercises, you can be graduated to advance techniques.

What are the symptoms of weak pelvic floor muscles?

Symptoms of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction
  • leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, laughing or running.
  • failing to reach the toilet in time.
  • passing wind from either the anus or vagina when bending over or lifting.
  • reduced sensation in the vagina.
  • tampons that dislodge or fall out.
  • a distinct bulge at the vaginal opening.

How does chiropractic help pregnancy?

Chiropractic care throughout pregnancy can relieve and even prevent the common discomforts experienced in pregnancy, help baby to be in an optimal position for birth, and enhance postpartum recovery.

Many women don’t have a proper postpartum assessment and aren’t taught how to rehabilitate their bodies after having a baby, or how to safely return to exercising and doing the things they love.

Do women have back pain during pregnancy?

About 50-80% of women experience lower back pain during pregnancy. The extra weight carried at the front of the body puts pressure on the spine, and the centre of gravity is altered because of the imbalance.

Pregnancy hormones can also cause joint laxity, especially in the pelvis - all contributing to spinal pressure. Many women just suffer through lower back pain during pregnancy but chiropractic treatment - spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy and exercise therapy.
